Andree Amarica is an accomplished artist whose
paintings have sold in Europe, USA, Canada and
the Caribbean. In 2016 she won a Certificate of
Excellence in the 21st ArtaVita Online Art Contest
and in 2018 she was selected as one of the “Top 10
Emerging Artists to Watch” by ArtTour
International Magazine which featured Andree’s
paintings in their Summer 2018 Edition.
Andree was born and raised in Quebec City,
Canada, where she grew up in an artistic and
musical family. Music was prevalent throughout
Andree's childhood as her great grand father
founded the first Symphony Orchestra in North
America in 1902. After studying music and piano
for eight years, Andree moved to Europe and
began her painting career inspired by the
blessings of a great spiritual saint. During a
trip to France, she met with several high
profile art dealers from England and Spain who
invited her to discover the famous Foire
Internationale d'Art Contemporain (FIAC) in
Paris. These events were the beginning of a long
love affair with the visual arts.
Upon her return to Canada, Andree started
painting full time and with intense inspiration
created an impressive body of work. In 1997 she
joined a Cooperative of Artists, called Enriched
Bread Artists (EBA) where she was a member for
three years. Annual exhibitions were held each
year and Andree’s art was well reviewed.
In addition to selling in Canada, Andree was
approached by an art collector from Switzerland
to expand her artistic horizons towards Europe
and international markets. Her paintings are now
owned by many private collectors in Europe, USA,
Canada and the Caribbean. One of her paintings
made the cover of Homes and Land magazine in
2009.
